Resources and Paper:

All of the studio's resources (unless otherwise noted) will be at your disposal inlcuding:

  • risograph printer

  • electric trimmer (and hand trimmers)

  • binding machines

  • book stapler

  • creaser

As for paper, it's BYOP(*paper must be between 60lbs text and 80lbs cover and uncoated) or pay what you use for our stock (prices may vary). We might not have certain stocks available when you print, so do contact us in advance if you are interested in one. For BYOP, let us know what you will bring before your visit so we can check if it’s compatible with our machines.

We will prepare the drums for you to ensure the process is as smooth as possible and provide technical support for any machine-related issues, error codes, or questions. If you require time for binding equipment or trimming, we only charge for this service if the timing doesn't coincide with our normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 12 - 6 pm.

File Setup:

Please ensure that your files are print-ready before you arrive! We also provide file preparation services if you want us to do this process for you at $55 p/hr. We will need 3-5 days advance notice before your reservation to ensure we have your files ready before your printing session. We are unable to set up files for you in person. We may not be able to accommodate you after your reserved time slot, so please be on time and ready to print!

Printing Time:

As a reference, give yourself around an hour at least for each 2 color print you do (2/3 hours for a 3 or 4 color print).

For less experienced printers - it is important to note that we usually recommend splitting 4 color prints into two, two color printing sessions. Depending on your file, printing four colors in one session can often lead to paper jams, roller marks (visible marks on your prints because of inky rollers in the machine) and other issues! We generally recommend the same for double sided prints, especially if your files are heavy on ink coverage on one side.

Payment:

Payment (minus the $35 first hour deposit) will be processed after your session. Payment via Zelle or Cash is preferred. We also accept card/tap-to-pay, but please note that invoices over $500 will be charged a 3.5% processing fee (5% for International Cards).
